Live Alive: an introduction

Some bands excel at producing studio gems that will grace your collection for years and years to come. Real bands however, sweat their way to success and leave it all on the stage. They play with passion, heart, desire and energy that defy explanation.

Think Meatloaf; think Bruce Springsteen; think The Who, artists and bands that look at hour-long shows as a joke or merely a warm up. Artists that know no better way to convince you of their greatness than rewarding your hard earned, well spent money. These are the artists that inspire me the most because they aren’t just as good live, they’re better.

This occasional series will serve to highlight bands that know the true meaning of a live show.
